💚Mental Health Awareness Week💚

Afternoon my lovelies,

As you may or may not know, this past week (8-14th May 2017) was Mental Health Awareness Week and as a person who is affected by it, it is hard to talk about...

Now, on social media I may look confident, or that I know what I'm doing or that I have nothing to worry about, but as a person who has to go through mental health issues day in day out, it's hard. Most don't know, but for years now I've suffered with anxiety and panic attacks - which is not fun let me tell you...however, since I was a little girl, I always had problems with my breathing, where I would stop myself from breathing if I started to cry...but when my anxiety kicked in I was only in Year 9 (for Americans that's 8th grade). During this year I had a large group of friends, all girls and we were so close, however, as soon as one thing happened we all fell out and split in half, like most friendship groups do. Now, this really wasn't fun for me, Year 9 over all for me was a time where I got bullied for who I hung out with and what I looked like - by boys and girls - and that automatically knocks your confidence down massively. I remember one night I woke up and couldn't breath, I texted one of my friends and they told me that what I was describing to them was a panic attack, now as soon as you hear those words you freak out even more. Every time I think or describe this feeling to someone, I always say it feels like someone is sucking your soul out of your body, you know, like the dementors in Harry Potter...nat good...

Things got worse when I was in Year 10 and I started uploading here and there on YouTube. I would get a certain group of boys taking the mick out of me which again knocked my confidence so low and made me feel like shit, not going to lie. This went on for a long time and it almost made me want to give up all together.

Year 11, oh god, Year 11...that was the hardest year for me...I felt like absolute shit. People saying stuff about me, bullying...the whole lot. I acted like everything was fine and I didn't tell anyone at all. THAT'S THE WORST PART!!!

Moving into Year 12, I secretly didn't want to post anything because people would always take the mick out of me, and I didn't want to look like a 'freak' for having a social media account...but I thought that in by Year 12 people would've gotten over the fact of having something like that because it's a normality in society, everyone does YouTube and blogging, let's be honest. However, that didn't stop me, by Year 12 I started my makeup page and really getting creative and everyone loved it. What a surprise, a little bit of fun can turn into a massive passion. Wow!!

Year 13, the place I'm at today, the new me, a different me, God I feel good about myself most days...however, most days I feel alone and have to think 'I don't want to go out today' or 'please can we leave? I don't feel right here'. Now that's not something you want to feel, but that is what you do feel when you live with anxiety, it sucks so much!!

Even though I still have heavy breathing and anxiety attacks from time to time they're not as bad as they used to be and now that I've opened up to my closest people ever, a huge weight has been ,often off my shoulders. I only opened up last year so I've been suffering in silence for 3 years, don't be me and do that!!!!

Over the past few years it's become more and more visible to me that I have this and that many, many other people do to and it's not something that should be hidden. Yes it's hard, but to survive but you must open up to someone, mum, dad, sister, brother or just someone you can tell anything to. That's what I did. I opened up my whole life to my sister and even though I still go through everyday with bad thoughts and anxiety ripping the shit out of me, I know that when I get home I can tell my mum or my sister or my dad about my day, what's worried me, what's made me feel like crap, if something's annoyed me and I have to get it off my chest and boy let me tell you, it feels good. Before, each day used to get a little bit harder until it got to its peak in 2014/2015 where it was at its worst, but now each day gets that little bit easier. I know I have this in my life but I will not let it stop me, no matter what💚

And no, before anyone says anything, I'm not saying this to 'fit in' with society because anxiety is being 'glamorized'...that's bull, it's a condition that a lot of people have so you must respect that...

Now that's enough of me waffling on, but please, if you do suffer with any form of mental health, please, please, please tell someone, it's the best thing to do rather than hiding in the dark! Trust me!

Remember, I love you and I'm always here for a chat.

Love, Charlotte xoxo

Long Time No See...

Well, it's been quite a while hasn't it.

I want to just put up this post to update you with whats going on in my life recently.
I've now started my final year in high school and I'm starting to look and what Colleges and Universities I want to go to study Makeup Artistry. My top choices are Manchester College and the University of the Arts London. They're my top and I so hope I get offers from them!!
It's hard and stressful but I know that it'll all pay off! I'm so excited!!
However, things have put me off from going to study...that includes my anxiety.
ANXIETY IS A BITCH
But hey what can you do about it...you can only try and fight it , am I right...

So now I've started Year 13, I've realised that I have to start working on my time-managment a lot more than I had before.
What I'm saying here is that I need to start working out a schedule for when I have to film, edit and upload and when I have to focus on my school work. That schedule will be decided tomorrow when I can go ahead and draw it all out. (I'm actually really excited to draw this out...I get excited by the tiniest things as you can see.)

To make my videos better, I am now in the process of buying a new camera and new lighting. This will mean that my videos will be better and that I can film the content that I want to the best quality that I want it at.
I want you to leave me suggestions for the types of videos that I can film because I want my channel to be based around you guys and what content you guys want to see.

On the topic of blogging now, I will be blogging a lot more, more like a diary to tell you what I've been up to recently like places I've been to and what I've seen and then also beauty and fashion related things so I can please everybody. I have recently (as of tonight) set up a brand new table, a Jess has handed me down her old iMac so I can edit and upload and blog all at once. This is sooo handy right now because I have my own little bubble and I can just listen to my music and get away from everything that's going on.

Another reason that I haven't been posting videos and blogs for a while is that the past two years have been so, so hard for me in terms of my family and because of that my anxiety started to take over and kept saying to me 'you're a fool', 'no one cares what you post' which I mean maybe that's true no one may care what I post but I want to do it to further myself in my chosen career path.
I've dealt with breakups, the loss of loved ones close to me and my whole stressful self as per usual. (I don't think my stress will ever go away if I'm honest, I hope it does, but for now it definitely won't)

So recently, I've just got back from a weekend in London, (went with school), however, it was such a fun experience. I got the opportunity to go and watch 'The Play That Goes Wrong' and it was the funniest play I've ever seen, trust me. Also we got to go to Pineapple dance studios (even got a glimpse of Louis Spence dancing!!) to have a work shop and a Q&A with actor, musician, basically everything in the performing industry, Jonny Glew, which was amazing to see what it's been like for him in the past 15 years in the performance industry. We also got the opportunity to go and look around RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts) and even though it's not something I want to go into as of yet, it was amazing to go inside a university where big names like Gemma Arteton and Taron Egerton have trained and studied. It was amazing!
Finally having some free time was good, even though I was too tired to enjoy most of it because we had walked everywhere throughout the day, (I must have lost some weight...10 miles in one day...) but finally we got on the train home and had a huge laugh between us all. It was such a full packed fun weekend with some of the best people. I would definitely do that trip again.

Now I know that this whole blog post is mixed up, theres things in places where it probably wont make sense, but I'm trying to do it in order of remembering things and what to write because it's been such a long time! I hope the structure of this hasn't stressed you out like it has stressed me out, but theres so much I wanted to write before I forgot it! Haha...

Anyway, I best go to bed now, it's been nice to get back on here and just let myself 'blegh' out all of these things I've wanted to say.
I hope you've enjoyed reading this, and I hope you now understand why I haven't been socially active on here or on YouTube for a while.

I'll be posting more frequently from now on...but for now enjoy a picture of my newly set up work space that I now adore with all of my heart, haha.

Lots of Love,
Charlotte xxxx
It's so cute!!!!

New Product Review!

Hello my lovelies!

I'm ever so sorry that I haven't updated this blog in so long but it has been so stressful these first 6 months of 2015 as I have had so many things going on with my exams, but I am now FINALLY done with them and I now have 3 months off so I can update this and my youtube channel more often now and I'm so happy about it! I hope you carry on with my journey and hopefully you enjoy everything that will be coming in the future on my blog and on my channel, as it is a place where I can express myself and be who I am!

Anyway, now on to the topic of this post! Recently I went out shopping and as I went into New Look  I saw that they now have a makeup range that they have recently started doing! I have to say, I am actually obsessed with this range! As I didn't only go to New Look I also went to Superdrug and I know how many people rave about these 2 products and they do them in so many different colours! They are the Maybelline Colour 24hr Tattoos, and I bought them and I wanted to show you all how well they work - not on my face for now as I will have a video coming very soon - but I will be showing you how well pigmented they are and how pretty the colours are!

The first product is the Maybelline Colour 24hr Tattoo in the colour - 70 Metallic Pomegranate.

Now I absolutely love this product! It is very pigmented and it is, as it says, METALLIC! I've wanted to try this out for a really long time as I've been seeing a lot of foiled eyeshadows and I think this is a great replica because it does look like a foiled eyeshadow and it is very cheap as well! As well as this product being very pigmented and just being very pretty in general, it is so punk rocky and a very cool, edgy colour and it's great for any situation!

The next product is another Maybelline Colour 24hr Tattoo in the colour - 75 - 24K Gold
Now this product is freaking amazing! What I love about this product is that this one is actually veerry pigmented and it's very shiny and metallic! However, as much as I love this product I do find that it is very hard to actually get it off your eyes and you do have to be very careful when washing it off as it can hurt your eyes because you have to have a few good attempts at taking it off, but despite all that it is so easy to apply and you can keep building it up to make it look as gold as you'd like it to be!!

So onto the third and fourth product, it is the new, New Look, Pure Colour Baked Eyeshadow in the colour - 13 Cream and 93 Gold. At first I was a little sceptical about this product as I have tried high street makeup before and it hasn't been too good. However, New Looks whole range of makeup products are AMAZING! They're so pigmented and shiny, plus they have the greatest range of colours ever! The other great thing about these products is that they are super cheap and they are great for if you're starting out your very first/own makeup collection!

So the fifth product that I bought that day was an eyeshadow colour stick in a dark brown shimmery colour and I've wanted to purchase one of these products for so so long and I finally got one! Again, I was very sceptical about it all, however, I was blown away at how pigmented to was and it is just amazing! Again if you're wanting to start your own makeup bag then this is the perfect product for you!

And finally, is the Pure Colour, Lip Pencil in Red. Again, this product is very good and it is very pigmented and it does stay for a long while, whereas for most lip liners you can never get that and they wear off very quickly. Moreover, the application of this lipliner is so easy and quick and it doesn't tug on your lips which I've found does happen in other lipliners.

So there you have it my lovelies! I hope you all like my blog post and you do keep up to date with everything that I'll be posting on here in the future! Again I love you all and please stay up to date with all my social media as well!

Love you all massively,

Neal&Wolf Hair Products Review!

Hello my little earthlings!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! (day late...meh ;))

I know it’s been like FOREVER that I have done a blog post, but…TODAY IS YOUR LUCKY DAY!!!!!

So today, as I said,  it was Halloween (yesterday), but putting that aside, earlier on this week I went to get my hair done at my work place - Haringtons Hairdressers Halifax - and while I was there I was given a Neal&Wolf Hair Products set, which contains 3 different products. The products include, a Daily Cleansing Shampoo (for all hair types), a Daily Cleansing Conditioner ( for all hair types) and an Intensive Care Treatment (for all hair types). These products really help your hair in everything to keep it healthy and looking its best!

So going onto the first product which is the Ritual, Daily Cleansing Shampoo (for all hair types), for starters it smells delicious and I absolutely love the packaging, the lovely dark purple colour really draws your attention! So this Shampoo is designed to cleanse the hair, leaving it fresh, full of shine and ready for styling. It is an infusion of silk and milk proteins which are combined to boost vital moisture and reduce flyaway hairs. The best thing about this is that it gives you luxurious, shiny hair for days. It takes away the horrible dull dead looking hair and makes it look brand new again! So to apply this you massage it into your hair and your scalp, then rinse it off and then repeat it. When you have applied it the second time it will be more foamy and bubbly. The first time it will wash all the dirt out of your hair and the second time it will really start to help your hair and become more healthy looking.

So the next product is the Ritual, Daily Conditioner, again it smells delicious! This products is a weightless conditioner that instantly detangles (which is true!), leaving your hair amazingly smooth and again ready for styling! The finishing result is that you get luxurious, easy-to-manage, radiant locks. With this product you massage it thoroughly through wet hair leave for thirty seconds and the rinse off. However I’d recommend you start from the bottom of your hair and then the left over product you massage into your roots and your scalp. Then rinse it off and then blow dry it!

Finally, the last product is the Harmony, Intensive Care Treatment, which has been specially created to repair damaged hair, using a combination of intensive conditioners that delivers an instant transformation. The difference in texture and appearance is truly stunning, which then leaves hair looking shiny, healthy and manageable! With this product you massage it through wet hair for 3-5 minutes and then rinse it out thoroughly.

What I love most about Neal&Wolf is the packaging that it all comes in! The purple packaging reminds me of galaxies, space and funnily enough Christmas! The packaging is very eye catching and draws you in to buying the products. This set of 3 hair products costs £25.95, which for these 3 is a really good price! I highly recommend these products as it leaves your hair looking its best for days on end!

I’d like to thank Haringtons Hairdressers, Halifax, for letting me review these products and hopefully there will be more reviews on my blog! I know that there is one product that is being dispatched by the end of this week to me! So I am really looking forward to that arriving and there will be a tutorial on how to use it and also a blog post explaining what it is in more detail and what I think of it! I will leave all of Haringtons links below as well as Neal&Wolfs links as well! Plus I will also be leaving my links down below as well so you know where to find me!

As you have now finished reading this, I have done a video explaining the products again over on my YouTube channel which will also be linked down below!

Starting Youtube!

So as most of you may know, (or may not know) I have my own YouTube channel just called Charlotte Thristan. I started my channel in February 2013, and I did it to get away from all the nonsense that was happening at school. I watched all  the big youtubers channels: Zoella, SprinkleofGitter, Tanya Burr, Thatcher Joe, Pointlessblog Tv, Jim Chapman, MarcusButlertv etc and they all inspired me to start my youtube channel. I watched their videos and thought 'oh they look pretty cool, I might start my own' and that is where my channel came from.

Yes, I am only 15 and I have  lot ahead of me, but my main goal is to be a big youtube star like Zoe, Tanya, Louise, etc. I want to do more colaborations, but it's hard to get people to film them with, especially with other youtubers. I live in Halifax and I don't think that there is a lot of people who do youtube, like I do. There is singers from around Halifax, who are on youtube, my sister is one of them, but all the rest a really far away from me.

One of my biggest wishes in my life, is to be able to do a video with either, Zoe, Tan, Louise, Alfie Marcus, Jim, Joe, etc. However, I'm far from that, I only have 70 subscribes, but I manage to get my name out there and build up my subscribers. Yes, it will be hard, but you have to try to succeed in what you do.

I just hope I can build up my youtube, like I said it will be hard, but i have to try. I'm going to tweet everyone to see if they can check it out, (not by being annoying...woops) so the can check out my channel.

My channel: www.youtube.com/ThinkMakeup1503. Please hit that subscribe button, it would mean a lot, so please do and I will love you forever!!

My Favourites of this Month!

Hello Earthlings,

Today I'm just going to be posting my likes for this week. You may've seen some of these in my recent Haul, but I'm featuring them in this blog today because they are my favourites so far!

Number 1.

Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation.

Now I'm featuring this because I've been using this over the past month and it's AMAZING!
This foundation has GREAT coverage and it keeps your skin looking glowing and healthy!
It has the Anti-Fatigue Effect so this is just saying that in the morning when you're feeling...ughhh, then this wakes you up!
I've bought the colour 103 True Ivory, because I have pale skin, a I have a lot of blemishes, so this foundation helps cover up your blemishes, dark circles under your eyes and spots.
This only cost me £4.98 from Asda
If you're getting this from Boots then this costs £8.99 (Bit more expensive..)

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation 103 True Ivory Swatch.
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation 103 True Ivory.

Number 2.

MUA (Makeup Academy) Neutrals Pallet.

This was from Superdrug in the MUA section and this only cost me £4.00. This has beautiful Brown/Blonde/Black colours and I must say that the black is very pigmented! I picked out this pallet because they are natural colours and also they have the perfect colours for the smokey eye effect! (This video will be coming up soon......) I absolutely love this and I suggest you should all go and buy this because they are very cheap and they are very good colours!
The colours are:
Starting from the top left going along the top:
  • Naked
  • Devotion
  • Shy
  • Fiery
  • Lavish
  • Dreamy
Now going from the bottom left along:

  • Tranquil
  • Exposed
  • Reveal
  • Wink
  • Obsessed
  • Corrupt

MUA  Neutrals Pallet.

Number 3.

MUA (Makeup Academy) Glitter Ball Pallet.

This was again from Superdrug and from the MUA section and this only cost me £4.00 as well! So this is very cheap! Now this pallet is VERY pigmented and has a very good effect on your eyes! This pallet is a very party, party pallet, but it's also a very summery. Now I really like the colours in this because they a very glittery and I have already used them twice ad I strongly recommend them! They will brighten up your eyes and make them look really pretty.

The colours that are in this pallet are:

  • Glittery Black
  • Glittery Peach
  • Glittery Dark Green
  • Glittery Blue
  • Glittery Green
  • Glittery Yellow/White
  • Glittery Pink
  • Glittery Brown/Gold/Orange
  • Glittery Brown
  • Glittery Dark Brown
  • Glittery Silver
  • Glittery Purple

Number 4.

MUA Bronzed Perfection.

I may be boring you with my MUA stuff from Superdrug, but this is the last one on the blog!
So, this is from Superdrug and this is a bronzer that is very nice on your skin. It gives you that bronzed look from when you come back of holiday. I've been using it and it's superb! This only cost me £3.00! MUA is so cheap so I suggest you go and buy them! You only need a little bit on your bronzing brush because if you put too much on then it will clog up your face and won't give you that holiday feeling. I've done that in the past and thought 'Why have I just done that?!'

So guys if you've liked this post then please share this with your friends and I'll be posting more soon!

Bye guys!

Love from
Charlotte xo

So this is my first post! I currently don't really have much to say but if you keep your eye on this blog I will update it whenever I can about products I'm liking/disliking, commentary on videos I've uploaded and of course other things to do with my life that may not be entirely beauty related!

I hope you enjoy reading this blog and that it can be some source of entertainment for you and maybe help you with some tips and tricks to keep your beauty regime up to date and healthy!

Thanks guys!
